Paralympian Sophia Warner joins Parallel London | DisabledGo News and Blog


Sophia Warner, Paralympian track and field athlete and founder of the UK’s first sports event dedicated to the UK’s disabled, Tribal Series Para Tri, has this week joined Parallel London as partnerships director. Parallel London launched nationally in February and aims to become the UK’s largest disability-led event. The event will host a number of mass-participation push/run challenges, from 100m to 10k, within the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Furthermore, the event will stage a family festival offering a range of fully inclusive and accessible attractions across art, dance, literature, fitness, active lifestyle, technology, food and drink. The event, which will take place on 4 September and is backed by The Mayor of London, is open to disabled participants as well as their friends, families and colleagues to complete one of their chosen routes at their own pace and style.
