The Chilcot Inquiry Report is an Irrelevance – The Duran

Chilcot cannot touch on the true reason why Britain invaded Iraq in 2003: the dominance of Atlanticist neocon thinking within Britain’s elite.

  1. The death of WMD dossier scientist Dr David Kelly, http://www.theguardian.com/pol…, now needs to be revisited with a view to what involvement Tony Blair and the establishment figures within the secret services MI5/6 had in his death. With the evidence from the Chilcot report confirming which was previously conjecture this whole situation needs an indepth investigation and hopefully some legal standing for a conviction or convictions could be established.

While the Chilcot report went some way to closure for the relatives of the casualities/victims of the Iraq war a prosecution would bring closure much closer, although it may never be closed for them. This would also be a warning to others in a position of power that some accountability for their actions could always arise.
