    • I agree, but these practices come from cultures and beliefs that are alien and not acceptable to the West and it is good that laws have been created to offer protection to the victims of FGM. However, we also have to re-educate, not only the persons who commit and accept these practices, but also the victims that they have rights and that there are laws to protect them. Until then these practices will continue, so we and our law forces need to be more proactive in the areas relating to FGM.
