  1. While this is about nurses pay and the pay cap, it could have been about many other professions.

Whether the pay cap should have been implements depends on who you believe. The Government introduced this pay cap 7 years ago for public sector workers, many of whom, if not all, could afford it, but did not bring this in for MPs, who could afford it.

however, now it appears that this paycap may be being lifted according to an article in ‘The Sun’ https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/4383549/theresa-may-scraps-public-sector-pay-cap/, but not until the Autumn budget.

I do not believe in The Sun, but in this instance I do wish I can, for it needs to be true.

However, even if this is true, will it be replaced with a 2% cap or some other figure and will any pay increases be taken into account within the funding for the NHS or will it have to be taken from the budget as it is now.

At the same time will the austerity measures be withdrawn for Local Authorities, in order that they can increase the funding for Social Care, for both Adults and Children., as social care is not the verge of collapsing, if that verge has not already been passed, perhaps a wait for the Autumn Budget will be a wait too far.
