Ireland has voted by a landslide to liberalize some of the world’s most restrictive abortion laws in what its prime minister described as the culmination of a “quiet revolution” in what was one of Europe’s most socially conservative countries.

  1. So Ireland appears to be in favour of repealing the 8th Amendment” constitutional ban on abortion, if the 2 exit polls are correct. This could mean to allow abortions with no restriction up to 12 weeks into a pregnancy, however we will have to wait and see what legislation the Irish Government will endeavour to bring into law. The Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, said he planned to enact the legislation before the end of the year.

    Here we have one of Europe’s most socially conservative countries bringing legislation in favour of abortions, while America under Trump and the Republicans doing all they can to ban abortions.

    Who is really living in the real world, Trump and his Republicans or the Irish Government and the people of Ireland?
