  1. It is true that family ties can never be really severed and although we will be leaving the EU, we will not be leaving Europe, just the political element.

It will not be easy for all of us, but with working together all will come through.

You may say and it has been said, if you wish to be part of Europe why leave the EU, but the political union was becoming to inclusive, in that the ‘Voice of the People’ was being left behind.

For myself it all started with Tony Blair, who many many decisions and judgement in excess of the mandate he was given in the General Elections he won.

He made decisions when he should have gone to the country, not in a General Election, but in a Referendum. the difference being that a Referendum should be a more straight forward process, for usually there is one concept to answer, in 2016 it was leave or remain. While at a General Election It is many concepts being the number of areas mentioned in each parties manifestos. For who knows the real reason why anyone votes one way or another,

In a General Election, is it blind faith in a party you have always voted for, because you like the look of a particular candidate, all of the Manifesto or just one or more areas of the Manifesto, and many others.
    .
In 2016 all parties entered saying they would abide by the Referendum result, but none of then did, or the various MPs did not, so all the MPs lost the trust of the population of the UK, which in many instances was little trust to start with.

So lets now proceed as we should do leave or start the process and then the UK and EU work with goodwill to obtain a beneficial trade agreement for all of us.

For now No Deal is back on the table and we have only a short time to form an agreement, for failure to do so will be No Deal on 1 January 2021.

All been said it is equally important for a Happy New Year for 2020 for us all.
