Yes, Republicans in the Senate made up all kinds of excuses to acquit Trump. In particular, people like Susan Collins, who stated ‘president “learned” from the experience’, well he did, but perhaps not in the way Collins believed. He learned he could get away with ‘murder’, just as he stated in his Presidential Campaign. He now really knows that the Republican Senators will allow him to do as he pleases.
In fact he is getting away with Murder, the Murder of America.
