A care home leader has warned the coronavirus is stretching care homes to breaking point as the death toll of residents mounted over the weekend.

  1. This is what non-NHS care has come to accept over years of not just lack of funding, but many more including

    Care staff salaries
    working conditions
    sick pay

    But again care is not restricted to care homes as there is

    much home care
    Supported living

    Care has not been recognised for many years, at least 40 years in my own lifetime

    Recognition is now coming through, but will this continue when the Coronavirus crisis has gone.

    I have my doubts, so will the Government prove me wrong
