  1. Why when there have been so many advances in technology can we in the UK not have a reliable Broadband facility, is it down to planning permissions for masts, public complaints about masts, surmised healthy issues of masts, lack of investment, Government lack of concern, etc or a mixture.

I have had some broadband issues over the years, but not that many, except for recently under the current lockdown and with more and more people working from home, where virtually every day I have issues, sometimes for hours.

I therefore, thank Uswitch for conducting the survey and The Guardian for publishing the results, but now I want to know what is going to be done about it, for we all should have a completely reliable broadband as that is what we are paying for.

Should we not be contacting our broadband provider on every instance, but then we would never be able to do anything, as currently we would be contacting them umpteen times a day and be waiting hours for a response.

Surely the broadband providers should be taking this on board, but will they as it appears all providers have problems, maybe because each providers is using the same networks and these networks are under a nationalised company ‘Openreach’, part of BT.

So is the main problem Openreach and the lack of competition?
