  1. This Government and many previous Governments is showing disregard for Social Care and especially for persons with Learning Disabilities and/or autism, although there are also others in many health categories.

It is true that the state of Social Care in the UK is so fragile and may, if sufficient funding from Central Government to Local Authorities is not forthcoming soon, disappear to a large extent.

It was fragile before COVID-19 , especially due to the 10 years of austerity cuts to local authorities and for the lack of funding in many previous years, but COVID-19 also caused major problems.

There have been many promises of funding and other revision to Social Care, in fact, in 2015 the Cameron Government could well have done this, but decided to differ the matter to April 2020, when COVID-19 was and still is with us.

The Boris Government has provided funding to many areas, which the UK may not afford to do so, but only meagre funding has been made available to Social Care, to provide some funding to try to cover extra costs relating to COVID-19 measures, but nothing more to save Social Care.

Social Care could well disappear to a large extent, unless major funding of at least £10-12 Billion is not made available, plus details of how the future of Social Care could be provided.

But, currently nothing from this ‘3 Wise Monkeys’, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_wise_monkeys) Government.

As I, from my involvement in Social Care in Sheffield, from a family view and my volunteering within the Health and Social Care sectors, saw what was occurring, I created a Petition, ‘Solve the crisis in Social Care,

Please do consider to show your support for Social Care and those persons and their families who have to rely on Social Care to live and survive in the UK, by signing this petition and then share it so enlarging its publication.
