I believe everyone should become involved in Social Care whether you use it or not, for if you don’t currently use it, who knows when you will do
But in its current state who knows what Social care will be like in the future for it is in a very serious crisis currently.
Much of the crisis is down to funding or more correctly the lack of it. For Social Care has never been sufficiently funded but 10 years of austerity cuts and now going on 2 years of COVID has caused it to be in a very much worse state.
But not all is down to money, for communications need to be drastically be improved and certainly the quality of care being provided. So while funding will have some bearing on quality ii is not totally down to money. For if you were employed in Social care would the amount you are paid have any bearing on the quality of care you provide. Where funding is required is on the quantity to ensure more people are prepared to engage in working in Social Care an d many other aspects.
It may be you don’t want to become so much in Social Care, but signing a petition will not take much effort. so I ask you to consider signing the petition, Solve the crisis in Social Care, https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/solve-the-crisis-in-social-care
If you feel you can sign the petition, please then share the petitions so others could also sign it and they could then share as well.
