Diverting flight was ‘huge mistake’ by Belarus regime, Tsikhanouskaya tells Euronews

The Belarusian opposition leader told Euronews that Lukashenko made a ‘huge mistake’ by diverting a flight to arrest a journalist because it renewed international scrutiny into the regime.

================================================

What Lukashenko did was ‘air priracy’ and he should not be allowed to get away with it. He needs to be taught a lesson, but he is supported by Putin of Russia, who in his own way is guilty of many international Laws, just because he believes he is all powerful and to go against him could well cause a World War or something similar.

But we can’t be held to ransom, so Lukashenko and also Putin need to be punished, but by putting sanctions in force are not actually hurting them, but hurting the innocent populations they rule.

Japan’s Olympic delegation to receive vaccinations from June 1 | The Japan Times

The Japanese Olympic Committee says it will avoid using public health officials in order to reduce the strain on the country’s medical system amid efforts to vaccinate senior citizens.

Japan and the IOC are doing all they can to justify their decision to proceed with the Games, but the best option would still be to cancel the Games, for although the vaccines rediuce to prospect of catching COVID-19 and if you do the possible the consequences you still catch it and pass it on, so on persons returning hoem could still pass COVID to their family members or anyothers.

So continuing with the Games is still not justified.

Tokyo Games cancelation likely to cost Japan ¥1.81 tril: Nomura – Japan Today

Canceling the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics this summer would cost Japan around 1.81 trillion yen ($17 billion), a research institute estimate showed Tuesday, as Japan scrambles to curb coronavirus infections with the major sporting event now just two months away. The Nomura Research Institute warns of even a bigger economic…

So what is the price of life in Japan, for to hold the Olympics could well cost even more lives and those of the athletes attending for would they have a claim against Japan and the Olympics Committee.

These games, for all concerned, should be cancelled, otherwise it could well be a supernova event which will cost untold lives.

UK like an ‘enemy state’ to EU nationals detained by Border Force | Brexit | The Guardian

Confused over regulations, Home Office border staff meet legitimate visitors and workers with suspicion

This very extremely worrying for we do really need anyone who is willing to work in the UK, especially within the care profession, which is extremely short of people willing to provide care. The need for care within the UK has been increasing for many years, and now even more so with COVID, for long COVID is creating many more areas for people needing care to lead reasonable lives.

Foe many years the professions has been relying on non-UK labour and while in the EU had a contant supply of care workers coming in and supplemented by workers from other areas of the world. But since Brexit the availability of workers from the EU has been limited, in many ways due to EU workers not trusting the UK to keep it word. With these latest areas of unlawful restrictions being imposed by Border Force officals it would appear this mistrust is justified.

This needs to be sorted, URGENTLY, for the current state of Social Care in the UK can’t continue without these workers being allowed to enter the UK, be they from the UK or other world areas. My daughter recieves 24/7 care and a good 90% of the carers coming to her are non-UK care workers. Without them she will be unable to live, so these Border Force officials are not just stopping people entering the UK, but their illegal actions, are also causing unnecessary hurt and suffering for persons in need of care, but will in time cause their deaths. Will the relatives of the persons in need of care have a case to prosecute Border Force and even specific individuals, I so hope so for these illegal actions need to stop immediately and if not legal actions should commence.

There has to be accountability and seen accountability.

Subnormal: The Black Children Wrongly Sent To Special Schools

Years ago many mistakes were made, but am I being too kind in saying they were mistakes for where there other ulterior motives. Like in the article, stating ‘to keep ethnic numbers low’.

But, no matter the reason or reasons it was completely wrong and should never have occurred. But, is this or something similar still happening now, I hope not, but who knows.

Health over the years and also education have a lot to answer for, fror everyone should be equal, in that they are treated the same.

While it may not be proved, but I feel there was a large degtree of racism in the outlined practice and racism of any degree should not be practiced and be illegal to do so.

While it will not make up for the damage and hurt caused the persons concerned should be entitled to substancial compensation.

England and really the whole of the UK needs to relook at many issues to ensure the pest possible can be done and what is being done is equal to all sections of the community. To focus on any assumed or seen differences is totally wrong, for being a ‘human being’ should be the only focus, not, age, ethnicity, gender, sexuality or anyothers. We all need to learn to live with each other and for those you will not then the full force of the Law should be brought down on them. There should also be regular reviews to ensure full equality is being precticed everywhere within the UK, with no exceptions.

Same Difference

In 1960s and 70s Britain, hundreds of black children were labelled as “educationally subnormal”, and wrongly sent to schools for pupils who were deemed to have low intelligence. For the first time, some former pupils have spoken about their experiences for a new BBC documentary.

In the 1970s, at the age of six, Noel Gordon was sent to what was known at the time as an “educationally subnormal” (ESN) boarding school, 15 miles (24km) from his home.

“That school was hell,” says Noel. “I spent 10 years there, and when I left at 16, I couldn’t even get a job because I couldn’t spell or fill out a job application.”

About a year before joining the ESN school, Noel went into hospital to have a tooth removed. He was given an anaesthetic, but it transpired that Noel had undiagnosed sickle cell anaemia, and the anaesthetic triggered a serious reaction.

Noel…

Tokyo doctors association calls for Olympics cancelation – Japan Today

A Japanese doctors’ group has urged the cancelation of the Olympics, even as Games organizers reported a surplus of applications from medics to volunteer at the virus-postponed event. With less than 10 weeks until the Tokyo Games begin and as Japan battles a surge in infections, public opinion remains strongly…

So mamy views and opinions, but how many of these views and opinions are from people who have the facts, well I am not sure.

But what I do see  is that there appears to be more against holding the Olympics than theree are for, so It would appear that the Games should be cancelled. For to hold the event and the pandemic really takes off it will be well too late for measures to alleviate it.

Suffering and even more deaths will occur, but will those that decide to hold the event be held to account. Even if there are, that is not sufficient for those who will have died or are suffering and their families who will have to pick up the pieces, for nothing could be sufficient compensation to cover all that.

June 21 lockdown easing roadmap thrown into doubt amid variant concerns

Downing Street is no longer promising that conclusions of social distancing and Covid passports reviews will be announced this month, citing uncertainty caused by the Indian variant.

Surely this is the proof that those of us who are not having the vaccines are not only playing with their own lives but also those of others. For while there are people not prepared to have the vaccines, this is giving the opportunities for more variants to be created and sooner or later there could well be a variant that the vaccines are not effective with, therefore this will cause the vaccine programme to fail, thereby leaving those who have been vaccinated to be once again open to COVID.  All because some of us refuse to have the vaccines. In other words these anti-vaccers or hesitant vaccers could wel l be the cause multiple deaths to occur and therefore could these antis be guilty of manslaughter, it is worth a thought. They would be as guilty as though they had attacked people and caused their deaths.

Is it not now time for the vaccines to become mandatory.

They could say that would be against ther Human Rights, but is it not so, when they are causing the Human Rights, the right of life, to those of us who have been vaccinated to be affected.

National Adult Social Care Strategic Partners: our response to the 2021 Queen’s Speech

I agree with all you say and I am supporting the petition, Solve the crisis in Social Care,

It is essential that the social care funding is sorted for that is a main area, but also are

Care workers pay and conditions
quality of care
quantity of care
social care not being free at point of delivery, as is health
And others

We are united in our view that the Government’s proposals for the future of social care – promised again in the Queen’s Speech for later this year – must be brought forward urgently along with a clear timeline for action.

As senior members of organisations representing people who draw on, work in, commission, provide and regulate adult social care and support, we are united in our view that the Government’s proposals for the future of social care – promised again in the Queen’s Speech for later this year – must be brought forward urgently along with a clear timeline for action.

This was an important opportunity for the Government to make good on its promise to ‘fix social care’ and move the reform debate further forward, building on the many lessons that have been learned during the course of the pandemic.

One of those lessons is the clear and important…

Why Does Social Media Deem It Acceptable to Allow Racial Abuse to Black Footballers? | Community | News

No form of abuse is acceptable no matter what circumstances are involved.

With Social Media they do have the resources to eliminate the abuse though their platforms, but they appear unwilling to do so.

The legislation promised in the Queen’s Speech could well alleviate that to some or all extent.  However, these platforms are owned my multi-billionaires and so their resources to fight or reduce the effects of any such legislation are enormous, but that should not stop the legislation coming into force and if it needs to be amended to make it more enforceable then so be it.

Black footballers could come off Social Media but why should they, why is it the innocent who have to act, rather than the perpetrators being punished, it is because it is easier for this to occur, but it is a major limitation of freedoms. Just because something is difficult should not be an excuse to not proceed, as by not proceeding this is as bad as the initial racial abuse and is in effect condoning but inaction or insufficient action. If the was put into every legislation, that inaction or insufficient action was illegal then more would be done by all concerned.

Keir Starmer wants to be decisive but demoting Angela Rayner risks looking merely chaotic

‘Removing the deputy leader from her role as the head of campaigning for Labour has sparked dismay across the whole party’

His actions are purely showing that Labour have still not got the leader they need to get back into power. He is using Angela Rayner as a distraction from his own inadequacies, for this is not the showing of a strong leader, but one who is trying to save himself.

He should be shouldering all the responsibilities of Labour

show in Hartlepool and the rest of the country.

To bring in a candidate who was strongly Remain, when Hartlepool was strongly Leave is showing very bad judgement and does nor bode well for a strong and effective Labour Party.
