North Korea executes two teenagers after they watched films from South Korea – World News – Mirror Online

Eyewitnesses said they were told people watching South Korean movies will be “sentenced to the maximum penalty – death” as they watched the two teens being killed

Despicable, this just shows what North Korea is and has become.

Human Rights don’t exist in North Korea, only the Rights of North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un.

But, it won’t belong before FIFA award them with the next World Cup event, as this is what FIFA see as a good country.

Ukraine war: EU proposes UN-backed specialised court to probe alleged Russian war crimes | Euronews

The bloc has also proposed using Russian assets frozen under sanctions to help rebuild Ukraine.

The alledged war crimes by Russian forces in Ukraine do, certainly need to be investigated and any proven crimes require the perpetrators fully punished.

Also the Russian assets frozen under sanctions should be used to rebuild Ukraine and also to compensate Ukrainian families for the indiscrminate killing and injury to Ukrainian civilians.

Nothing should be given back to Russia.

Charlene White and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here’s other Black female contestants never stood a chance | The Independent

This series of ‘I’m a Celebrity’ has seen its only two Black female contestants booted from the show first – keeping alive an odd tradition that’s affected everyone from Alison Hammond to Adele Roberts. Nicole Vassell asks how long the show can choose to ignore it

I must say I am no fan of ‘I’m a Celebrity and this, apparent racist connection only makes me more so and it’s applied connotations to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ again not a favourate programme of mine, as I an no fan of any reality programme, so the apparent coming back of ‘Big Brother’ is filling me with dread.

But, apparent racism in the reality voting is even more of a dread.

The UK is and always will be a multicultural country and in my opinion far better for it. But, racism in any form needs countered for it is an unhealthy experience, especially for persons who are non-white.

Without a strong multiculturalism the UK will fail to exist and many professions are totally reliant on non-white inclusion. The NHS for one the care profession for another and many more.

But there are many professions where racism appears to be rife and not only racism, but, also accounts of gender discrimination. One only has to look at the Police and especially the MET Police and now apparently the Fire Brigade, or is it only the London Fire Brigade, we will have to wait and see.

We import a lot from America, but their concentration on racism is one that we should not.

Unfortunately, racism will never go away, as there will always be, I hope a very small number of racists and not only in the white communities for all communities have some degree of racism in them, but the attitudes of the white population go a long way to breed racism in other cultures.

We all should be viewed and treated as equals, with race, gender, disability, sexuality and others not being countered in the way we react to each other for there are good and not so good in all areas of life and we should all embrace each other.

It makes life for everyone so much easier, especially in these dark days of ecconomic disparity for we all need each other.

Lets make the UK a great place to be for everyone and use that as an example to other countries where their way of life may not be as good.

Qatar insists rainbow colours are allowed at World Cup after ‘localised incidents’ | The Independent

Exclusive: Fifa has assured national federations that fans displaying the rainbow colours associated with support for the LGBTQ+ community will no longer be stopped by security staff at World Cup venues

FIFA have shown that they have no respect for football as football should be non-political but in awarding the World to Qatar they made it so.

The right to view and attend the World Cup is everyone’s right and to give the World Cup to a country where it was obvious the this freedom would not be there was completely wrong.

Texas man charged with killing two nurses opened fire while his girlfriend was giving birth | Daily Mail Online

Nestor Oswaldo Hernandez, 30, who opened fire at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Texas on Saturday – killing two nurses – was on parole for aggravated at the time of the shooting.

Well this just shows the state America is in, but the gun culture rules Supreme.

If the gun culture was not how it is and it was more difficult to obtain firearms the 2 nurses would still be alive today, but they are not purely down to the American gun culture.

I don’t expect this to change for the better, as it will only get worse, as the NRA and those in support of guns will just say more guns are needed and most likely say the 2 nurses should have been ‘carrying’.

So is the whole idea that everyone in America carries, what about children, for why should they be left undefended. Will it come that as soon a child is born a gun will be given to them, ludicous but, not that ludicous as the gun policy.

My Life

My life as now considerably changed. My wife died just 2 years and one week ago on 26 September 2020 and now has our beloved daughter on 4 October 2022. It is believed that she had a Grand Mal seizure from which she never recovered, although her carers, Paramedics and A&E did all they could. She stopped breathing from 3pm on Tuesday and did not recommence. CPR compressions were commence immediately as was requesting emergency assistance, which arrived within 15 mins by 2 ambulances with 4 paramedics in attendance. Perhaps not within the official target times, but in these days of much crisis, very much quicker than I had expected. However, a Post mortem will be required, thereby delaying further arrangements until done and hopefully an Inquest will not be required. We do complain about our NHS, but we would be so much worse without it and they do so well with the limited resources that have had over many years. Yes, many improvements have been sustained, but much more could be achieved with sufficient funding. Health are still having to find areas to cut back on, supposed making savings in areas. but, in reality there are no savings to be made and cuts in many essential services are being done to achieve these so called savings. Adding to this is the very severe crisis in socal care, both in local authorities and all areas of the social care sector, here, again cuts are having to be made, when in reality the opposite needs to occur. Currently, only critical care is main being considered, when to be really effective all need to be, moderate and below, for by not doing so needs do become critical in a very short time. If, needs have been dealt with well before, then the move to critical could well have been diminished or not even occur. By not funding this places excessive burdens on health and much so on NHS resources, thus adding the health care crisis. This is in addition to the very severe staffing shortage in both health and social care. Not only sufficient numbers joining the respective areas, but many leaving due to very low morale and better prospects out of these areas. Are you aware that home care staff with perhaps minimal training perhaps days, but in some instances only hours, while medial health staff undergo months and even years of training and still not allowed to do some tasks which home care staff have to do as there is no others to do so and the Government and many of the general public have the audacity to says that social care carers are unskilled for to do as it needs and should be they have to be extremely skilled, while only receiving a pittance in return. Many in poor working conditions, no or very insufficient travel allowance for mileage or even travel time, no real sick pay and some not even some holiday pay. Bank holidays having no meaning as there is virtually no enhance pay for working Bank Holidays for they are counted as just another working day. Outside of the care profession this would not be countenanced. Added to this is the UK Immigration policy in which the needs of care staff are not a consideration, but needs to be as the profession needs non-UK care workers to supplement the lack of uptake from UK residents. This is down to the abysmal pay scales, working conditions and much more, so it is not non-UK workers bringing down levels, but it is manufactured lack of concern and at times deliberate not wishing to by this current Government and all previous Governments, in fact, in reality back to 1948 or maybe well before. I mention 1948 as this was when the NHS was originally created and at that time a formal creation of social care should also have arisen, in that the NHS and social care should have been recognised together. Why in social care are some health conditions classed as health and others social care, so that health conditions re still free at point of delivery, while those that are social care are not and have to be paid for, in some respects by each individual in receipt of social care, although at a reduced rate while in life. But in death repayment of the costs is required up to a set cap. No matter what is put out by the Government, it is still required for any property to be sold on death to ensure repayments are made up to the cap. but not so in health. This is pure and simple discrimination for persons on Social care, which should be illegal. It is said the UK can’t afford it, but it does if pet projects are required. Not saying we shouldn’t as we should, but with the Ukraine/Russian war, no one says we can’t afford to fund this weaponry for Ukraine as it is said Ukraine needs it, which it certainly does, but so do persons in UK social care. So, the death of my daughter is a two-fold benefit to the Government, as it has created a reduction in the welfare bill as her ESA and PIP will now stop and her extensive and costly care package is no longer. Perhaps this Government should congratulate her for her death causing all these reductions in costs.

Family Of Man Who Waves At M6 Traffic Keen To Meet Toy Giver

It is good to see that there are still great people out there. For listening to the news, it is mostly depressing, so when good is there it is so uplifting in many ways.

Same Difference

A family said they would love to thank a lorry driver in person after he left a gift for a disabled man who likes to wave at traffic.

The toy postal lorry was left by a Royal Mail worker for Alex Chesters who he regularly saw waving at him from a bridge over the M6 near Stafford.

Mr Chesters’ father, Darren, said they have thanked the driver online but they would like to meet him.

“I don’t think he realises what a difference he’s made to Alex’s life,” he said.

King Charles ‘told Prince Harry not to bring Meghan Markle to Balmoral to see dying Queen’ | Daily Mail Online

Amid the personal family tragedy on Thursday, when the Queen died at the age of 96, a small domestic drama was playing out involving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex .

A very sad occasion for everyone, especially all of the royal family. All except Harry were informed, but Harry later, all others had someone close with them to help with grief, but not Harry. Harry has been cast out in more ways than one, some of his own making, but some by the Royal Family. Harry, it is said was very close to his grandmother, so will need to be comforted very much, which can only be done by his wife.

The Royal Family are ignoring the needs of Harry at a time when everyone needs people around them, especially family.

The U-shaped happiness curve is wrong: many people do not get happier as they get older

The U-shaped curve of age and happiness doesn’t stand up to scrutiny, a new study finds.

There are many gen eralisations which are made during the cycle of life and are any of them correct, maybe not, as in generalisations there are many variable factors. In fact happiness, you could be happy one day and not the next it all depends on who you are, what you are, where you are, state of health and many others aand at times you may not be in control of your own destiny, as many others could have effects on it as well as yourself.

Just accept what life is and maybe live for the moment.

My baby was taken into care – then murdered – BBC News

Laura Corkill’s son Leiland-James was put in care from birth – and killed by the woman who wanted to adopt him.

============================================It is my belief this is not the full story, but not sure from whom.

Laura’s past has certainly been very troubled, but it appears due to an abusive partner and not Laura, but it appears all the blame is being heaped on Laura, with insufficient understanding and maybe a willingness not to from Cumbria County Council.

Yes, Cumbria County Council have a ‘Duty of Care’ for baby Leiland-James, but, also for Laura and from what is said in the article insufficient Duty of Care for Laura has been seen.

Councils are dammed if they do and if they don’t and hindsight could show things could have been done differently. Unfortunately, all councils ate overburdened with work a severe insufficiency of social workers and certainly funding, which is done to this Government and many previous Government.

But, from the initial social worker, it appears Laura was lead to believe that she would be allowed to care for her new baby, with the support of Aishea Drysder, from Women Out West. Also both Laura and Aishea were not informed of any changes or developments by Cumbria CC.

There is no mention of any multi Agency reviews and so it appears these changes were down to the second appointed social worker and there is no mention why the case was taken away from the initial social worker.

This complete lack of communication is extremely deplorable, and is a reason why social services are viewed in a ‘poor light’.

This case and the decisions made is even more debateable when this is taken into account ‘It was 2019, and over the following year, she would try to get him back. But just days after his first birthday, the woman – who social workers had placed him with – murdered him.’

So, it appears that baby Leiland-James was not fully safeguarded and with hindsight, it could well have been better to allow Laura to look after baby Leiland-James with the support in place.

Both baby Leiland-James and Laura have been severely let down by Cumbria CC and also Aishea from Women Out West to some extent.

Laura wasn’t involved in the subsequent murder trial and she wasn’t involved in Cumbria County Council’s review into his death, it is no wonder that she feels silenced. Having her first children taken from her, then her new baby Leiland-James and not being kept informed of subsequent events will be completely devastating to Laura and could well cause some major mental problems for some time, if not ever.

Her trust, if ever there will be no longer there re Cumbria CC, but do they care, we will never know.

There is the severe underfunding issue, severe deficiency of social workers leading to those there being so over worked and under great pressures themselves, but that should never be used as an excuse for measures taken and not taken as Duty of Care should supersede these and they have their duty to adhere to.

It is now too late to right the wrongs which occurred to Laura and baby Leiland-James, but not to ensure Laura is being well looked after, however how long belatedly.

Cumbria CC need to acknowledge their own accountability in this, but so does this Government as services can’t be conducted on ‘shoestring budgets’ which this Government is asking all Councils to do and not only Councils.

So Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss what have you to say. I would have said Boris also, but who cares about Boris, except for Boris and perhaps his wife Carrie.
