Prince Harry’s brutal take on the Middleton family’s ‘country bumpkin’ life – Mirror Online

Leading royal author Tina Brown claimed that Prince Harry “couldn’t understand Prince William’s obsession with his Middleton in-laws” and their lives in the countryside “bored Harry to tears”

============================================

This shows all the ‘hallmarks’ of how many families breakdown, but most of these families will not be to any extent in the media or public eye.

Families need each other and when one or more appear to some degree to be outcast then problems will occur and if not dealt with will escalate to great degress.

Both Harry and William were so close to their mother Diana and the loss of her when both were so young would have been difficult for both of them. Charles with the Queen and Prince Philip and others was not brought up to undersatnd and deal with so complex family problems, so he, most likely didn’t see what was occurring was occurring with both Harry and William or if he diid he was not aware of how to deal with it.

Also Charles would be more likely to concentrate on William for he knew that sometime William would take over from him, but that Harry was very unlikely to. So to some extent Harry was cast aside or he believed he was.

The mind is very complex and not always understood so Harry was left to ruminate without any real guidance, when help should have been available for him, but this would have had to be noticed, which many would not have done.

Now that Harry has left the Royal family he is even more on his own and Meghan may be good for him, but she also has her own family problems.

Both trying to deal with life as they see it and maybe making many great mistakes and all in the eye of the media. That will never be good for anyone.

Josh Sabey and Sarah Perkins are haunted by the child abuse investigation against them – The Washington Post

After a months-long ordeal, Josh Sabey and Sarah Perkins are fighting for changes in the way cases like theirs are handled.

============================================

Child protection is a minefield, for in many instances it is dammed if they do take actions and in others dammed if they don’t and in others whatever they do could be the correct actions.

It should be without saying that the children should be the number one priority, but at times the system is the main priority, whether the system is good or not. In many instances there are preconcieved beliefs at play, when, in reality each situation should be viewed as unique, but that is far from easy to achieve. For if real concerns are justified, it is more than likely that the parents or custodial persons will be good at covering what has occurred. So, mistakes are bound to occur, but the system should be flexible enough to ensure that mistakes can be easily rectified, where in many instances the system is not flrxible enough.

In this instance the Department of Health and Human Respources (DHHS) were trained by the Police, where perhaps they may not be the best agency to conduct the training, for by the Polices nature they concentrate on crime and this could be their first priority in any actions or training they provide.

In this instance it was eventually proved that the actions of the DHHS were not justified, but by then much damaged had been caused to the family, especially the children, that the system used was supposed to protect. Lrssons should be learnt, but are they been learnt, I really doubt so, as really for lessons to be learnt there has to be a commitment from the respective body to do so and perhaps funding made available to create the instances for learning to take place.

This instance was in America, but similar could and are being actioned in many other places both in America and many other countries.

Pounds, ounces, pints! Johnson is offering a whole bushel worth of phoned-in gibberish | Marina Hyde | The Guardian

As No 10 goes ‘bananas’ with announcements, the British public can only sit and wait until the banter king is finally deposed, says Guardian columnist Marina Hyde

============================================

Oh Boris, what shall we do with you, as you are limping from one idea to another to bring the public on your side, but, there is no return from ‘Partygate‘.

What little trust you had Boris, certainly evaporated with ‘Partygate’.

So, again, ‘what shall we do with you’, well the answer is so simple, for you, go and the sooner the better, for the country no longer needs you, if it ever did.

Your mess didn’t start with ‘Partygate, as you have created many messes and you are no longer at ‘Eton‘.

So, Boris, do us all a favour and, Go.

Dog which killed Bella-Rae was not a banned breed, Merseyside Police confirm | Daily Mail Online

Bella-Rae Birch was mauled to death at her home in St Helen’s Merseyside on Monday by a dog which had recently been bought by her father Ryan from a friend ‘for buttons’.

============================================

While not wishing to put more misery on the family in their hours of distress, this does raise to situation that families need to be extra careful when bringing animals into the home, especially where there a very young children.

Yes, it is good to raise a child as well as raising a family pet, but it should always be borne in mind that whatever animal that is brought into the home they are in fact a domesticated wild animal, who could always turn to their wild traits at any time, if only for a second. But in a second great damage can be caused.

When bringing in an animal into a home check on the usual traits of that animal and never, leave it alone in the presence of a young child.

With dogs they are pack animals where there is always one leader so when bringing into a family in no circumstances allow the dog to believe that they are the leader, be forceful in commands, while not being abusive.

Animals can become jealous and feel they are losing attention when attention is being given to another. This is similar to when there is one child and than a new baby comes along and much focus is on the new baby to the assumed detriment by the other child that they are losing attention. This is so much similar to animals, especially dogs so when giving attention to one, ensure similar attention is given to the other.

An animal in a home, is great, but always be wary of what could occur, for when it does it will be too late.

”I have it on good authority that CCHQ have told Salisbury cons assoc. that they must select a retainer candidate ….”

This is all wrong and disgusting.

If everyone is correct and CCHQ have instructed the Salisbury cons assoc to pick a Remainer candidate, then CCHQ should be told where to go. No wonder the Chair as quit. What is the point of having a local association if they can not proceed as they wish.

Whoever at CCHQ was responsible for this instruction should be dismissed forthwith.

If the Tories lose this election then it will be the fault of CCHQ, have they been infiltrated by Labour, Lib Dems, etc or are they just incompetent?

Andrew’s in the frame: ‘Friends’ might say the picture that dogged the prince for years is fake | Daily Mail Online

  • Sources close to prince say the height of duke and Virginia ‘doesn’t look right’
  • But Andrew is understood to be 6ft and Virginia 5ft 8 which is reflected in image
  • Sources also claimed prince has ‘chubby fingers’, which ‘don’t match photo’
  • Images from around the time show Andrew wore same shirt and cufflinks often
  • California-born Virginia Roberts claims she had sex with prince number of times

To her Australian neighbours, the only thing that made the slight, blonde mother-of-three stand out was her American accent. Otherwise ‘Gina’ or ‘Ginny’, as she was known to them, was just another ‘Central Coast mum’ enjoying her new life close to the ocean in New South Wales.

Only later would they discover that Virginia Giuffre’s very ordinary life hid an extraordinary past.

On a bookshelf in the three-bedroom bungalow she shared with her husband was a small, white envelope containing a collection of photos dating back a decade or so, documenting her teenage years.

Among pictures of her partying and riding horses was a single 7 x 5in photo taken in early 2001 when Virginia Roberts – as she was before she married – was 17.

Dressed in sparkly embroidered jeans and a pink singlet bought specially for the occasion, the teenager looks her age. But while smiling broadly for the camera, there is an underlying tension in her pose, one arm held uneasily to her hip.

Given the circumstances in which she claims it was taken, and considering the other people in the picture, any nervousness is entirely understandable.

Behind Roberts, off to one side, stands a smiling Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of disgraced media tycoon Robert Maxwell.

And then there is the older man who has his arm around Roberts’s waist, the fingers of his left hand touching the bare skin of the teenager’s midriff.

Dani Garavelli: How can Trump use an orphaned baby for cover? – The Scotsman

Viewing it in isolation, you might assume it was a “first baby born in the new millennium”-type photograph. There’s Donald Trump with his thumbs-up, like he is personally responsible for producing this child-of-the-future; and Melania, her hair perfectly coiffured, cradling him like a Stepford Madonna.

It is only when you understand the context that it becomes grotesque. This was not a moment of celebration, but of mourning. The baby, Paul, is an orphan; his parents, Jordan and Andre Anchondo, died while trying to protect him from a racist gunman who claimed 22 lives in El Paso.

Trump won’t be worrying about any of this. He is not a man prone to self-reflection. He lacks the capacity for empathy and the dignity of office. On the visit to the University Medical Center, where eight of the injured were still being treated, he centred himself like the narcissist he is, turning the most solemn of occasions into a jamboree.

Benefit cuts force desperate parents to rely on ‘baby banks’ for essentials – inews.co.uk

Increasing numbers of parents are being forced to turn to “baby banks” for essential supplies for their children because of cuts to benefits.

Little Village, an organisation which supplies clothes, toys, nappies and cots at three banks in London, said the number of new parents being referred to them has shot up from 773 in 2017 to 1,524 last year.

Sophia Parker, the chief executive of Little Village, tells Sky News that staff are “constantly shocked” by the stories and sights of poverty they come into contact with working at the banks.

“We see kids in shoes two sizes too small, without winter coats,” she said.

“We see families going hungry because they can’t afford food.”

‘Literally nothing left’

One parent approached by the broadcaster, Stevie Cooper, is eight months pregnant with her second child.

She has been forced to turn to the baby bank for supplies because of a delay in her universal credit payment.

“There are days when we can only afford to feed my son, so me and my partner go without, which isn’t great when you’re pregnant,” she tells them.
