Almost one fifth of non-profit workers earn below the real living wage

The National Living Wage is a disgrace as it is insufficient to live on.

Yes, the Government says there are various credits to claim, but the claiming process is very arduous and very time consuming and the barriers you have to overcome are very off-putting.

With some benefits it is as though you are deemed as claiming a benefit to which you are not entitled and in many instances the assessment process, especially face to face is very demeaning and in some instances insulting.

The Queen used to pay some of her staff below the Real Living Wage and was, I believe reported as saying ‘they can claim benefits’

How some are now paid.

Many Charities have restricted income which is not guaranteed and as they rely on donations and grants which have to be bid for, these grants are time limited may be for one year or could be up to 3 years, so Charities are continually having to submit bids for grants which may or may not be granted. The grants always come with attached conditions and to even bid you have to fit the expressed criteria, which can be very detailed.

With grants the organisations providing grants also only have a limited amount of money available to provide so all eligible bids will not be granted if the total amount of bids exceeds the amount available for when this as been reach there is no more available.

‘I didn’t want to be alive any more’: Meghan and Harry describe racism and royal animosity in Oprah interview | Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex | The Guardian

A very explosive interview and some points which come as no surprise to myself.

The Racist comment for one, as I have believed for sometime that there was a racist element within ‘The Family’. In this I query, where are the ‘persons of colour’ within the employment of The Family, for I am not aware of one, let alone others.

I am also not surprised about the comment that Prince Charles stopped communicating with Harry.

That is just The Family, for I feel it would have been even worse within the area of what I call ‘the grey suits’ for, I feel, this area is much worse than The Family in how they treat persons who are classed as outsiders.

By The Family, not fully accepting, as I have said before, is a great opportunity lost, but not unexpected.

This interview is indeed a massive bombshell and one from which The Family, may never recover.

I am also not surprised, even before the revelations that Meghan had had ‘suicidal thoughts’, which she took the The Families HR Department, one which is not good, especially with regards to the alleged abuse to members of some of Harry and Meghan’s staff, where it appears the HR Department took no action.

Whatever you think of Harry and Meghan, their media critics are far worse | Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex | The Guardian

Meghan and Harry from a different perspective, a perspective which shows the Royal Family, the Hanger-ons and the Royal Media are not in control. That Meghan and Harry dare to wants to live their own life away from the control of a 94 year old grandmama.

Why should anyone have so much control over the lives of anyone.

The Royal family have a lot to learn, but they do not wish to and certainly the persons who surround the Royal family do not. These are, so called, experts on how Royalty are supposed to behave.

For it appears males within the family can, effectively do as they please provided it does not become public knowledge, but even then they are allowed to get away with it and some arrogantly believe they have a right to do so, are you not Andrew and Philip.

But, if you are female, except if you are directly connected to the family, such as Anne and previously Margaret, they have to do no wrong, this was previously Diana, Fergie and now Meghan.

This family have great privileges and for some money appears to be no object, yes, the press is always on their tail, but are their duties really that exhausting, in fact,Andrew appears to be drawing money for doing more than nothing, but then would anyone want to be associated with him, except his Mum, but is that also doubtful.

Harry and Meghan have every right to live their own lives and they have promised to refund all or most of what was spent on them or on gifted properties.

With Meghan, the Royal family have let a great opportunity to learn slip through their fingers, for they have a lot to learn about diversity and Meghan would have been and still is, if the family would get off their ‘high horse’ and ask for help.

As the article states many families have relatives who are there for themselves and the Markles and Windsors are no exception. Meghans half-sister is a nightmare, and her father needs to learn that life does not revolve around him, for his daughter, Meghan has a right to live her own life, either with or without him.

She has chosen to live with Harry and I feel it will be good for both of them, for Harry, since the death of his mother, Diana, has not been good, certainly his mental state. For who would wish to be forced to walk behind his mother coffin, certainly at his young age and all the instances before and after her death, was he really allowed to mourn how he wished to, who knows, well Harry for one.

Meghan before Harry had her independence and to live with someone does mean that some of the independence can not continue in the same way, she will have made mistakes, but do we not all and we are not hounded by the press, the so called, Royal experts and members of the Royal family. Philip certainly does, but he is not continually hounded, except in the first instances to some degree.

So, allow Harry and Meghan to live their own lives, how they wish, mistakes will be made, but it is for them to deal with them how they feel fit. If they want publicity or not, then that is their choice, for I would certainly use what I have to my own advantage, while endeavouring to protect my children.

We all feel the Queen is for all of us, but is she,, for she does not know that the majority of us exist and would not acknowledge us, unless we were in her way. How she shouted out to people who were in her line of view at a racecourse a few years ago says a lot.

I wish Harry and Meghan all the best and do realise they would not give me a second glance, that is assuming there was a first.

Andrew’s in the frame: ‘Friends’ might say the picture that dogged the prince for years is fake | Daily Mail Online

  • Sources close to prince say the height of duke and Virginia ‘doesn’t look right’
  • But Andrew is understood to be 6ft and Virginia 5ft 8 which is reflected in image
  • Sources also claimed prince has ‘chubby fingers’, which ‘don’t match photo’
  • Images from around the time show Andrew wore same shirt and cufflinks often
  • California-born Virginia Roberts claims she had sex with prince number of times

To her Australian neighbours, the only thing that made the slight, blonde mother-of-three stand out was her American accent. Otherwise ‘Gina’ or ‘Ginny’, as she was known to them, was just another ‘Central Coast mum’ enjoying her new life close to the ocean in New South Wales.

Only later would they discover that Virginia Giuffre’s very ordinary life hid an extraordinary past.

On a bookshelf in the three-bedroom bungalow she shared with her husband was a small, white envelope containing a collection of photos dating back a decade or so, documenting her teenage years.

Among pictures of her partying and riding horses was a single 7 x 5in photo taken in early 2001 when Virginia Roberts – as she was before she married – was 17.

Dressed in sparkly embroidered jeans and a pink singlet bought specially for the occasion, the teenager looks her age. But while smiling broadly for the camera, there is an underlying tension in her pose, one arm held uneasily to her hip.

Given the circumstances in which she claims it was taken, and considering the other people in the picture, any nervousness is entirely understandable.

Behind Roberts, off to one side, stands a smiling Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of disgraced media tycoon Robert Maxwell.

And then there is the older man who has his arm around Roberts’s waist, the fingers of his left hand touching the bare skin of the teenager’s midriff.

NO AUSTERITY HERE! Cost of Queen rises to 69p per person as spending rises by 13%

Austerity is generally there for those you can least afford it, the poor, the disabled and the sick.

The Royal family have to be looked after, for they can not exist on their own and need to travel in their own comfort away from the others who can also not afford to. But these others have genuine reasons for their inability to fund themselves.

The Government gives to the Royal Family, what they will not give to others in the UK.
