Donald Trump and Masculinity as Motivator | History Matters

Thank you, a great insight to the image, ego, etc. of Trump. How anyone can support him is beyond my comprehension, but support him they do.

In addition to your insight, is it not true, that his supporters have no one other than Trump to cling to and to cast him out would mean they are on their own, which they feel they have been for far too long.

He is their last hope, in some ways their ‘Messiah’.

I do feel sorry for his supporters, that they have felt so alone and have to cling to Trump, the worst of ‘Mankind’.

Trump: Jews who vote Democrat show ‘lack of knowledge or great disloyalty’ | TheHill

President Trump said Tuesday that Jewish people who vote for Democrats are either ignorant or disloyal as he railed against two congresswomen who have been critical of the U.S.-Israel alliance.

“I think Jewish people that vote for a Democrat — I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty,” Trump told reporters during an Oval Office meeting with the president of Romania.

Trump and the GOP have sought to win over Jewish voters from the Democratic Party by criticizing statements by Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), the first two Muslim women elected to Congress. Both have criticized Israel’s government.

Trump last week urged Israel to block Tlaib and Omar from visiting the country, saying in a tweet that allowing the visit would show “great weakness.” An hour after Trump’s tweet, Israel denied the congresswomen entry.

But in stating that Jewish people who voted for Democrats were disloyal, Trump appeared to step into the same verbal quagmire about Jewish loyalty to the Israeli state that had drawn criticism to Omar earlier this year.

Omar took heat for remarks that suggested to some that Jewish Americans were more loyal to Israel than the United States.

Trump’s comments came as he accused Tlaib and Omar of hating Israel and the Jewish people, and he complained that Democrats should also be criticizing them.

“The concept of even talking about this … of cutting off aid to Israel because of two people that hate Israel and hate Jewish people, I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation,” Trump said in the Oval Office.

“Where has the Democratic Party gone?” he continued. “Where have they gone … where they’re defending these two people over the state of Israel?”

Jewish groups and Democratic lawmakers swiftly condemned the president’s Tuesday remarks.

“At a time when anti-Semitic incidents have increased — due to the president’s emboldening of white nationalism — Trump is repeating an anti-Semitic trope. If this is about Israel, then Trump is repeating a dual loyalty claim, which is a form of anti-Semitism. If this is about Jews being ‘loyal’ to him, then Trump needs a reality check,” said Halie Soifer, executive director of the Jewish Democratic Council of America.

Nazis vandalize Jewish cemetery in Massachusetts, USA

They say or some of his supporters and his administration do, that Trump is not a ‘White Supremacist’, but his whole rhetoric and behaviours imply that he is.

He is either a good actor, doubtful, or he is being misunderstood, strange because he is quoted and given support by White Supremacists and his opponents also believe he is.

Who would you believe Trump, his supporters, friends or enemies.

I know who I believe do you?

Fall River, Massachusetts: Jewish cemetery vandalized with anti-Semitic graffiti

23 March 2019

On Sunday afternoon, March 17, police in Fall River responded to a report of vandalism at the Hebrew cemetery on McMahon Street in the southeastern Massachusetts city. The discovery was made by a cemetery maintenance worker. It is believed the vandalism occurred either late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Police originally reported that “approximately 25 gravestones” were defaced. But following a row-by-row examination of the cemetery on Tuesday, they announced on Wednesday that 59 gravestones had been defaced with anti-Semitic language and swastikas. Some had also been toppled over.

Gravestones were defaced with black magic marker. In addition to swastikas, anti-Semitic phrases included, “Heil Hitler”, “Expel the Jews” and “Oy vey! This is MAGA country”, a reference to President Donald Trump’s 2016…

Quakers and Airbnb Boycott Israeli Occupation of Palestine

There are many areas and events that are not acceptable, the Israeli attitude to Palestinians, but also the Palestinians attitude to Israelis.

Both are wrong in some respects and right in others.

Whether it was right to create Israel is up for discussion, but to reverse this act is not right, but neither is it right for Israel to continue to fight Palestinians and for Palestinians to fight Israelis. Both have to come to accept what has been created and learn to live together for the common good for all.

The fanatics on both sides have to stop their aggressive actions, for it is the innocents on both sides that are suffering in the current climate and innocents should never be made to suffer on the whims of others.

I found this video from RT which was posted yesterday, Wednesday 21st November 2018 on YouTube. It reports that the Quakers have banned investing in companies which profit through Israel’s occupation of Palestine. The Quakers stated that

Our long history of working for a just peace in Palestine and Israel has opened our eyes to the many injustices and violations of international law arising from the military occupation of Palestine by the Israeli government.

With the occupation now in its 51st year, and with no end in sight, we believe we have a moral duty to state publicly that we will not invest in any company profiting from the occupation.

This is, apparently, the first time a British church had made such a move, and the Quakers have been criticized by Jewish groups, which claim that it is a reference to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction movement. the Board of…

Anti-Semitic vandalism in New York City

Dear Kitty. Some blog

This 2 November 2018 video from the USA says about itself:

Broad City’s Ilana Glazer: Why I Canceled My Event at a NY Synagogue After Anti-Semitic Vandalism

A political event hosted by Ilana Glazer of Comedy Central’s “Broad City” at the Union Temple Synagogue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, was canceled Thursday night after anti-Semitic and racist messages were found scrawled on walls throughout the building. Among the messages were “Jew Better Be Ready” “Insert Oven Here” “End is now”. “Hitler”, “Free Smoke for [N-word] Jews” … The graffiti comes amid a surge in anti-Semitic hate crimes nationwide, including Saturday’s massacre of 11 Jewish worshipers at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.

Amy Goodman was scheduled to speak at the event about coverage of the midterm elections. We speak with Ilana Glazer in New York City. She is the co-creator and star of the hit Comedy…

After the Secret Flights to Deport Windrush Migrants, No-One Is Safe in Tory Britain

We all need to look at ourselves and judge who of us is racist as we all have a right of live. Just because someone, for whatever reason may be different is no reason to be abusive to each other.

There should be zero tolerance on racist attitudes so that we can all live in peace with each other.

Beastrabban\'s Weblog

Mike in his articles attacking May and her truly foul decision to destroy the evidence needed for the Windrush migrants to show their right to live in our wonderful country also mentioned that poem by Martin Niemoller. Niemoller was one of the scandalously few Christians in Nazi Germany to oppose the regime. You know the poem. It’s become something of a cliché – It opens with the various groups the Nazis came for, with the refrain ‘I did not speak out, because I was not’ whichever group was being attacked. It ends with the line that when they finally came for him, there was no-one to stand up for him. This was the reality in Nazi Germany. The Nazis attacked group after group, not just Jews, but also Gypsies, Socialists, Communists, trade unionists, the disabled, and other political and religious dissidents. And it had an effect. The Catholic Centre Party…

RT: Trump Puts Israel’s Interests Above America’s in Withdrawal from UNESCO

Beastrabban\'s Weblog

In this short video from RT America, they interview Max Blumenthal on the withdrawal this week from the United Nations’ cultural organisation, UNESCO, by America and Israel. The two countries have claimed that the organisation is profoundly anti-Semitic. He says that the Israelis would far rather have been in the organisation, haranguing it from inside. Blumenthal states that Israel was more or less forced to leave the organisation against its own wishes by Trump’s decision to quit. He makes the point that Washington would never have left it, if they thought it was biased against France or Spain. He also says that America owes UNESCO $500 million, which it now no longer has to pay back. The bigger question, he also suggests, is why Israel was ever allowed into the UN in the first place, considering its Talibanesque destruction of Palestinian archaeology and historic monuments. He also states that the…

Trump Wants to Publish List Immigrant Crimes, Just Like Nazis Did to Jews

These are indeed very worrying times for there is crime and job losses in all sections of each community and no one section should be vilified more than the others.

Racists are also terrorists, because they wish to bring down the current order for their own ends and that is against democracy.

Trump came to power as one section of the American community felt disillusioned with how they believed they have and are being treated and Trump jumped on this to say what they wished to hear and given them an illusion that he can bring back what they feel they have lost.

But this loss will also have been in all sections of the community, who are also disillusioned.

For Trump to go anywhere near to bring back the assumed losses the current progression in technology will need to be reversed as automation is one big factor, especially on job losses. But in doing so in manufacturing this will increase production costs, which will result in the items being produced to be more expensive, while the rest of the world will be progressing using the new and future technology. American goods will therefore be more expensive to the wider world and the goods will need to be only for the home market.

In the short term this may appear to produce some short term gains, but in the long term it will create an even greater loss, because the industries will be stagnating.

Trump, therefore is using a short term policy or policies to create more wealth for himself and others like him, while they are also creating more wealth outside America.

This is because their interests are global, but Trumps policies within America are not.

This will eventually bring down America, just as terrorism is wishing to do, so can not Trump and his like be also terrorists, so should they themselves not be banned from America.

Beastrabban\'s Weblog

Here’s another step towards real Fascism by the Trump administration. In this clip from Democracy Now! anchor Amy Goodson and her co-host talk to Andrea Pitzer about yet another policy of Trump’s, which is very close to the Nazi vilification of the Jews. Pitzer is the author of One Long Night: A Global History of Concentration Camps. She and the Democracy Now! team discuss Trump’s proposal to publish official lists of crimes committed in sanctuary cities – those towns where the officials are unwilling to comply with Trump’s deportations of illegal immigrants. They point out that this is exactly what the Nazis did in the pages of their ‘newspapers’ Der Sturmer and Das Neues Volk with the Jews. Der Sturmer had a column called ‘Letterbox’, in which its readers were encouraged to send it stories about crimes committed by Jews. The Nazi life-style magazine, Das Neues Volk, which…

The Break-Up of American Zionism and the Anti-Semitism Allegations

Beastrabban\'s Weblog

I’m aware that I’m in serious risk of doing this subject to death, but this needs to be said. I’ve put up several blogs featuring the videos of talks and interviews given by Israeli and American Jewish activists and historians – Ilan Pappe, Elizabeth Baltzer and Norman Finkelstein, laying bare the terrible history of Israel’s persecution and systematic ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestinian population. As I’ve repeatedly said, this is because of the smears against leading figures in the Labour party that they are anti-Semites, when they are nothing of the sort, and demonstrably nothing of the sort. Ken Leninspart, when he was leader of the GLC, was notorious and reviled for his anti-racism, anti-sexism, anti-homophobia stance. And if you want to read what he has to say about anti-Semitism, it’s written down in his book, Livingstone’s Labour. He decries it as one of the worst forms of…

Norman Finkelstein on the Coming Break-Up of American Zionism: Part 1

Beastrabban\'s Weblog

I’ve put up several videos recently criticising Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians, and examining the growing disconnection – ‘distancing’, in the jargon of the sociologists who’ve studied it – of young American Jews with Israel. The speakers in these videos have included the Israeli historian Ilan Pappe, and the American historians and activists Norman Finkelstein and Elizabeth Baltzer, both of whom are descended from Holocaust survivors. As I’ve made clear in previous posts, I’ve been prompted to do this because of the smears against leading members of the Labour party – Ken Livingstone, Naz Shah and Jackie Walker, amongst others, of anti-Semitism. Those accused are not to my knowledge anti-Semites. The above three certainly aren’t. Leninspart in his 1987 book, Livingstone’s Labour, states quite clearly that all forms of racism, whether against Blacks, Jews or the Irish, is the worst form of reaction, and needs to be opposed. Naz…
