‘Can I come home, pretty please?… I would love to help others’: New look jihadi bride Shamima Begum says she was a ‘dumb kid’ when she fled to Syria aged 15 – but insists she doesn’t need to be rehabilitated | Daily Mail Online

During an interview at al-Roj prison camp in Syria, Shamima Begum, 21, insisted she did not need to be rehabilitated and would ‘love’ to help rehabilitate others.

===========================================

jihadi bride Shamima Begum, a Good question for she has done herself no favours, how she left the OK and her initial interviews when she first made a wish to return, now she says she understands that she was wrong in what she did.

But then she would, for I feel this is how ISIS would have instructed her or similar to be. The West have little understanding of Syria/Iran and certainly none about ISIS, so every contact has to be viewed with the extreme suspiciousness. but that been said many others have been allowed to come back, even ISIS fighters, but does that mean everyone should be.

She no longer has a British Passport and effectively disowned the UK when she left.now she says she is on her own, and needs help, but do we and can we really believe her.

I fear not, if she was allowed to return she would be forever a suspect of turning once again against the UK and have we the full resources to ensure she will never be harmful to the UK, I feel the answer is No.

So I say she stays were she is.

The day Donald Trump stopped being the leader of the free world ǀ View | Euronews

Donald Trump has been telling us since the first day of his presidency that the American president should no longer be the leader of the free world and that he personally has no interest in the job. This month, he made good on his words by unleashing chaos in northern Syria.

Trump’s actions empowered American adversaries ranging from the Islamic State militant group to Iran, Russia, Turkey and the regime of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad and abandoned the local Syrian forces, especially Kurdish ones, who fought side by side with U.S. troops against ISIS. In defending his decision, Trump insisted America has nothing at stake in Syria and can let others handle an Islamic State insurgency.

This ingratitude not only will do lasting damage to America’s reputation as a trustworthy ally, it also rejects the importance of American foreign goals more than seven decades in the making: containing an expansionist Russia; supporting allies, particularly those most likely to embrace democracy and human rights; and orienting U.S. policy away from the pre-WWII fiction that Americans at home will be safe from threats abroad — whether China, Iran or ISIS — if the U.S. would only retreat from the world.

Trump called Pelosi a ‘third-rate politician’ during Syria meeting, top Democrats say | TheHill

President Trump had a “meltdown” and called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) a “third-rate politician” during a meeting with congressional leaders on the situation in Syria, Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) told reporters after they left the meeting.

The White House had invited leadership and top committee members of both parties and chambers of Congress to discuss Trump’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria.

That withdrawal paved the way for Turkey to initiate an onslaught against Syrian Kurdish forces that were instrumental in the U.S.-led fight against ISIS and has been widely criticized by lawmakers across the political spectrum.

‘Look, you can see ISIS down there’: How ISIS operates in Iraq today – Middle East – Jerusalem Post

Mount Qarachogh, Iraq – A long mountain that juts from the flat plains like a knife today separates Kurdish Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi security forces. This is a result of clashes that took place in October 2017, almost two years ago, following the Kurdistan Regional Government’s referendum. Since the clashes there have been on-again-off-again relations between the Iraqi division commanders and their Kurdish counterparts, working together through the US-led Coalition Operation Inherent Resolve, which is supposed to be fighting and defeating ISIS.

We’d heard rumors that ISIS was still operating below this mountain, called Mount Qarachogh, since last year. The members of ISIS who were not killed during the 2014-2017 war in which the group was slowly defeated in parts of Iraq have gone to ground. These are hard core fighters or hangers-on, men for whom ISIS offers a ready-made escape from the drudgery of life and a place to go to resist what they see as an Iranian-backed Iraqi government. These ISIS networks have existed for more than a decade in one form of another, going back to the insurgency against US forces after 2003. These were a collection of jihadists, Al-Qaeda, local Ba’athists, and everything in between, as well as foreign fighters. When ISIS was powerful, at its peak in the fall of 2014, it attracted some 50,000 foreign volunteers in Iraq and Syria and ran a kind of state built on Sunni Islamist supremacy and the genocide of minorities.

The 19-year-old was one of three schoolgirls from Bethnal Green in east London who travelled to Syria to join the Islamic State in 2015.

Sky correspondent John Sparks interviewed the teenager at the refugee camp.

Here is the full exchange:

Tell me a bit about the child.

It’s a boy. I named him after my old son [who died] – that’s what my husband wanted.

What are conditions like in the camp?

Trump Says He Has ‘Obliterated’ ISIS. The Terror Group Seems Not To Have Noticed. : HuffPost

WASHINGTON ― While President Donald Trump claims he has “eradicated,” “wiped out” and even “absolutely obliterated” ISIS, there is one group that has ignored the president’s words: the terrorists themselves.

According to recent estimates by the United Nations and the U.S. Defense Department’s inspector general, the self-described Islamic State has between 20,000 and 31,100 fighters ― figures nearly identical to CIA estimates of the terror group’s strength in 2014 when it was near its zenith.

What’s more, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria ― or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, as it is also known ― actually regrouped somewhat earlier this year. Foreign affairs experts suggest it will concentrate on overseas attacks now that it has lost most of the territory it used to control in Iraq and Syria.

“Despite the damage to bureaucratic structures of the so-called ‘caliphate,’ the collective discipline of ISIL is intact,” according to a July 27 report commissioned by the U.N. Security Council. “The general security and finance bureaus of ISIL are intact.”

Towards a federal Kurdish state in Syria?

So we go on there has been so much bloodshed, destruction and whole communities put under brutal regimes, so I do hope that this can be resolved peacefully.

The Kurds have, apparently been under the control of a number of forces for many years, be they Turkish, Syrian and now, hopefully, lastly ISIS.

The Kurds need to have a say in how they now go forward, but this should be between the Kurds and Syria and no outside force. If the Kurds ‘want a federal system that would allow regions to rule themselves without central control by the center’. It appears Syria may be agreeable to this and it appears they will be supported by Russia. However, for some reason the US appear to be opposed to this, well that they can be, but they should in no way impose this opinion onto the Kurds and Syrians.

The Western power have far too long imposed their views into areas that should not be theirs to do so, therefore the US needs to back off completely and just concentrate on their own troubles at home.

Jimmy Dore: Pentagon-Backed Rebels Fight CIA-Backed Rebels in Syria

America never learn, but do believe they are the sole masters of the universe and what they do must be right. Trump said he was different, but as we see he is just the same.

Oil is the paymaster and oil has to be obeyed.

Beastrabban\'s Weblog

Here’s another brilliant little video from the Jimmy Dore Show, which casts further light on the US’ role in spreading the carnage and chaos in Syria. In this clip, the comedian, with his co-hosts Steffi Zamora and Ron Placone, talk about a story which appeared in March, 2016, in the Los Angeles Times. The Pentagon and the CIA are backing different rebel factions in Syria. The Pentagon is backing one bunch as part of their campaign against ISIS, while the CIA is arming another group in order, the paper claimed, to bring Assad to the negotiating table. As Dore points out, this isn’t what the CIA and its government paymasters want. They want to oust Assad altogether. He reminds his viewers how the United States was approached by Saudi Arabia and Qatar several years ago. The two Arab nations offered to pay if America invaded Syria and overthrew Assad…

Jimmy Dore Show: US Begins Bombing in Somalia Again, Because Oil Found

Oil is the reason for many conflicts, so is the case for the American involvement in the Middle East but not mentioned only are the atrocities.

But atrocities happen in other countries, but there is no American involvement as there is no oil.

Oil the root of all evil.

Beastrabban\'s Weblog

This is yet another video about the expansion of the American war machine and war propaganda by the Jimmy Dore Show. In this video, he discusses the report that AFRICOM, the part of American High Command responsible for Africa, has decided to put troops back into Somalia after 24 years. The troops are apparently there at the request of the Somalian government, and will be there for training purposes. The article does reveal that American troops have also been deployed several times within that space of 24 years in minor missions, such as scouting for bombing sites.

The US troops are being deployed to help the Somali government against the Islamist group, al-Shabaab. The article states that al-Shabaab, although sharing a similar Islamist ideology with ISIS and al-Qaeda, aren’t actually part of those organisations. Most of the time, they’ve been confined to Somalia. They arose after a long period of…
