Rose McGowan: Stop Blaming Bourdain’s Girlfriend : Newser

In the wake of Anthony Bourdain’s suicide, Rose McGowan is asking people not to place blame—on Bourdain himself or on his girlfriend, actress Asia Argento. “Anthony’s internal war was his war, but now she’s been left on the battlefield to take the bullets,” McGowan wrote in a letter sent to the Hollywood Reporter and other outlets. “Do NOT do the sexist thing and burn a woman on the pyre of misplaced blame.” Instead, wrote McGowan, who said Argento was sitting across from her as she composed the letter, people should learn about mental illness, depression, and suicide before hurting survivors by “judging that which we do not understand, that which can never fully be understood.” Often when we lose someone we want to “lash out and blame,” McGowan writes. “You must not sink to that level. Suicide is a horrible choice, but it is that person’s choice.”

Thanks to Trump, We’re Now Two Minutes From Midnight

Beastrabban\'s Weblog

This is the Doomsday Clock set up by the Organisation of Atomic Scientists, to show graphically how close the world is to nuclear omnicide. It used to be five minutes to midnight, and I remember the New Cold War of the 1980s, when Thatcher and Reagan nearly started a nuclear conflict. As did a computer malfunction over on the Soviet side. The only way we served that is because of an heroic Red Army officer, who insisted on visual confirmation because he correctly didn’t trust machines. The man was reduced to a nervous wreck afterwards, but he’s a hero. He saved the world.

Now we’ve moved closer to full-scale nuclear war. The scientists blame Trump, his stupid remarks on Twitter, and his sparring and provocation of Kim Jong-Un.

The man’s a menace. For the safety of all humanity, and our beautiful planet, he has to go. Now.

The poor side of life

Today’s demo started rather hurriedly and to be honest I didn’t know if I was coming or going. This feeling was amplified because it was cold, rainy and my daughter was a bit fed up. understandable of course. But she soon settled down into our usual routine and all was well.

We are seeing a lot of new faces due to Stalybridge Jobcentre shutting. They don’t know us and what we are doing, and we don’t know them or their situations either. So we have to start from scratch, which at times isn’t easy.  But it’s a whole lot harder for them.

I started a conversation with a man who had been previously attending Stalybridge Jobcentre for his appointments. The first thing that he said to me was that he couldn’t believe how rude the front desk staff are at  Ashton Jobcentre, and how rude some of the advisors are also…

Website Discussing the Pyschopathology of Donald Trump

Certainly needs progressing, especially taking into account the Power that Trump, within 10 days will gain.

We should all be extremely worried at what might occur.

Beastrabban\'s Weblog

A few days ago I put up a piece from Sam Seder’s Minority Report about a letter by three American professors of psychiatry to the Surgeon General expressing concern about Donald Trump’s health. The writers believed that Trump showed signs of severe personality defects that could exclude him from being medically fit to fulfil his post as the next American president. They therefore requested that the Surgeon General should order a psychological examination of The Donald to assess his mental fitness.

I received this comment from Twoifbycharm, who said:

This is dead on. I have done some writing on this topic, and several doctors have weighed in favorably on it. Trump exhibits the characteristics of a narcissistic sociopath. Please take a look at my report and decide for yourself. This is a dangerous situation. https://twoifbycharmwordpress.wordpress.com/ B. Ashley.

The Impact of Misconceptions and Stigmas on People with Mental Illnesses

Despite of what some argue, there is clear-cut evidence that mental illnesses are diseases, no different from any other medical condition.  unfortunately the misconceptions and stigmas placed on those suffering with mental health problems, often prevent them from seeking treatment.  People are not only suffering from the syScreen Shot 2016-07-23 at 4.58.39 AMmptoms of a disorder or disease, but from societies lack of willingness to accept that mental illness is a disease as well, leaving may individuals to suffer in silence.  The stigma society places on this subject in turn, is preventing those suffering from reachin
