The video of the distraught girl went viral as the Taliban established control in Afghanistan. Under the previous Taliban rule, women lost many of their rights and were subjected to brutal treatment.
‘No one cares about us’ says Afghan young girl, well, not totally correct for many people do, unfortunately they are not in positions of power and able to influence decisions.
Many countries have tried to change Afghanistan, but none have ever succeeded, countries from both the West and East.
This latest situation was a mistake or more correctly misguided decision taken over 20 years ago, for the then President of the US, one George Bush Jnr, he went in to make a political point not to help Afghans. many bad decisions have been made since, but the worst was Trump, who was the Ace of bad decisions and that was compounded by Biden in his wish to become President.
The withdrawal was always going to take place but efforts to bring people out should have been completed before any withdrawal of troops was ever announced. however, not even that would have saved this very unfortunate young girl and many others in Afghanistan.
