DWP Now Allows Claimants To Audio Record PIP Assessments On Their Mobile Phones | Same Difference

With many thanks to Benefits And Work. A newly updated version of the PIP Assessment Guide suggests that the DWP have abandoned the struggle to prevent claimants openly or secretly audio recording …

==============================================

This is very welcomed and not before time and should improve the assessment process.

However, as stated there could still be problems, especially where the assessor is not fully compliant with the guidance and here the claimant should not be penalised and it should be the assessor who should back  down and if necessary get further guidance from their supervisor or manager. For an assessor could be aware of the guidance, but be unwilling to allow recordings to be made, so by failing to adhere to the rights of the claimant is disadvantaged.

Also, I see no reason why, now that audio recordings can be made that video recordings are also not allowed. For that would be of greater degree beneficial for the claimants in that not all problems can be discovered by audio recordings.

To not allow implies there is something wrong either with the assessor or the assessment process, which with the degree of appeals being made and the success rate proves that there are. To not allow is an abuse of power by either the DWP or the assessor or both and makes the whole process to be unequal and thereby against the human Rights of the claimants.

The DWP, the Assessors and the assessment process should be fully transparent for all concerned, otherwise it could be deemed to be ‘unfit for purpose’.

Autistic Outrage – Why is the Autistic Community so upset? : Neurodivergent Rebel

This is a question I get fairly often in relation to all the various autism related tags on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.  – “Why is the autistic community so upset?”

Because almost all of the media representation of autism comes from people who aren’t even autistic. Autistics ARE speaking. Are YOU listening?

The Netherlands welcomes Trump in his own words//Quand les Néerlandais présentent les Pays-Bas à Donald Trump

Observer of the Near East

  • English:

If there’s one Trump-inspired satire you should absolutely watch, it’s the one at the end of this post. Created by Dutch satirical TV show Zondag earlier…

Video Of Kids Singing To Teacher With Cancer Is Going Viral. At 1:05, I Understood Why.

Original post from Inspire More

‘………….By Randall Neely

Just months after being transferred to Staten Island’s Public School 22, veteran teacher Adriana Lopez was diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet, in the midst of painful surgeries an chemotherapy treatments, this teacher’s love and dedication to her fourth grade class never weakened.

To show their appreciation for their beloved teacher, the school choir planned a surprise performance just for her. Under choir director Gregg Breinberg, they chose to sing the perfect song of support: Martina McBrides, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It,” a cancer survivor anthem.

Breinberg explained that Adriana has always been a teacher who was first to arrive and last to leave – proving her devotion to her kids. The love was returned when the class dedicated this heart-felt performance of that inspiring song to the one who cared for them every day, even when she was hurting.

This video has received over one million hits within two days and it’s because of the deep love and compassion behind every note of the song.
