After rescue op, freed hostage urges Israelis to attend Tel Aviv rally calling for deal | The Times of Israel

Andrey Kozlov: ‘I’m home from Gaza; lots of hostages still there’; many protests to urge truce-hostage deal, others want early elections, amid anger at Haredi draft exemption vote

============================================

The real truth is that neither Prime Minister Benjamhin Netanyahu nor Hamas wants peace, well not until all of their objectives have been achieved, but, in reality none of the objectives will be achieved for \Hamas will never be eradicated and neither will Israel. Also neither are concerned about the release of hostages as with Netanyahu this is one of his excuses to maintain the war, while with Hamas the hostages are part of the barganing process.

So lack of funding or armaments could be a major factor in the ceasefire negotiations.

netanyahu also fears an election for it is almost certain Netanahu would not win any elections currently and his party could well lose considerably.

So Netanyahu does not wish to forfiet his power, which is another reason to remain in conflict with Hamas. The voice of Israeli population has to be more powerful, which may not be far off.
