Horizon inquiry: Paula Vennells sobs as she declares love for the Post Office

Paula Vennells was booed as the Post Office inquiry heard she was “more bored than outraged” after watching a programme featuring Horizon victims.

============================================

Paula Vennells may have loved the Post Office and may still do, but her only feelings for Sub PostMasters are resentment and utter disregard.

She has not one ounce of Christian principles and is only there for herself.

While these attitudes abound then UK businesses can’t be trusted and neither can the government. Who is the worst to be trusted, Paula Vennells, the government or the Post Office now that question is really difficult for currently it is none of them.

It is more than likely that criminal actions have been undertaken so police involvement should be undertaken as soon as possible.

No amount of compensation can right the wrongs inflicted on the Sub PostMasters and their families, but compensation has to be given. In addition to compensation for any Sub PostMaster who was made to refund the now non-existent account shortages, the refunds should be made without any delay plus allowance for loss of interest.

Rather than this coming out of taxpayer funds held by the government, the amounts should be reclaimed from the Post Office, Fujitsu and any persons implicit in the actions against the Sub Postmasters.

The victims are the Sub Postmasters and their families and no others and legislation is required to ensure this and similar actions are not allowed to occur again. There has to be transparency, honesty and accountability in all areas both corporate and individual.
