This is just what we have come to expect from politicians, who rarely consider disabled people, for which Social Care is eventually mentioned, there is rarely any mention of disabled people within Social Care.
The paltry amounts mentioned in Party Manifestos just proves that Social Care is not on their Agendas.
Even when it appears to be, it is only the elderly which they seem to mention, The Labour Manifesto only mentions free Social Care for the elderly, but many disabled people also have needs within Social Care.
Surely all Social Care should be catered for not just a portion, even though, currently, it is a larger portion, but non-elderly numbers are increasing fast.
It is with this in mind I created the petition ‘Solve the crisis in Social Care’ so please could I interest you to see the petition, follow link
