Social care needs immediate £8bn investment, says Lords Committee


The House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee has called for an immediate, £8bn investment in social care in order to raise care quality and access to pre-austerity levels.

    For more informationll spectrum of Social Care, which will include Home Care, Respite, Hospices, Supported Living, etc for both Adults and Children.

    Sir Simon Stevens of NHS England has stated that action needs to be taken within the next 12 months, while I say that is not immediate enough.

    It is essential that Social Care is maintained and the required amount of funding is a priority, but many other areas also need to be looked at and these are mentioned in the ‘For more information link mentioned above.
